Biography | Artist Statement | Resumé
Fascination with the human face and body is the inspiration for my sculpture. I love the fluid lines, the curves and the emotion they convey. I capture a wide range of emotions in my realistic sculpture, from the serious to the fanciful. The process of sculpting itself is vital to me. It is a means for me to experience life on a tactile level, very separate from the daily intellectual pursuits. The versatility of clay allows me great freedom to experiment with a variety of interpretations. Because my pieces are "table friendly" in size, I reach my viewers in their own environment.
